More than 25 years ago, Virgil and Jan Carner opened Orchard Park Assisted Living because they knew that long-term care could be so much more than a traditional nursing home. So they created a homelike, family environment where older residents who needed 24-hour care could enjoy peace and comfort while getting the assistance they need.
Today, Virgil is still the administrator. His open-door policy and friendly attitude lets everyone know that he cares about them. His dedication to the personal care of each resident is evident even outside his office as he greets each person he meets with a smile, and many times stopping to visit with them.
